Though I was born and raised in the Kootenays, I have lived in the Vancouver area for the past 25 years. My formal education was in Electronics Technology, and I spent twenty-four years in that field as a Production Color Analyst with Xerox. That work required technical knowledge, a meticulous work-ethic and understanding of printing systems – skills I decided I would rather devote to my passion – Photography! That is why I left Xerox to pursue my dream. My job is both a creative outlet and an old-school profession: fine-tuning camera settings, lighting, and interacting naturally with clients to bring out their honest expressions are all part of this art.
Detailed, careful work requires a certain mindset. Making clients comfortable and relaxed; selecting the photos that stand above the rest; working to match the needs and goals of each person: the best camera in the world will not create the greatest images on its own. I want my clients to see themselves in their pictures and have words like outstanding, memorable, confident and approachable come to mind. I invite anyone from Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Abbotsford and beyond to come see me in Pitt Meadows. Whoever you are, you deserve to be seen at your best.
