A very quick post really just to show some recent images that I shot with Sarah. I wanted to do some testing in full sunlight with my Canon 5D Mark III, to see how it stacked up against shooting with film. Lucky for me my trusty assistant/model was willing to go.

We headed out to one of my favourite spots here in Pitt Meadows. It was about 3:30pm and a very beautiful spring day, so the sun was still very high. The title pretty much says it all, as we literally shot for about 20 minutes. Keep in mind, my only light source was the direct sunlight. No modifiers or reflectors! The most challenging scenario was with the sun behind her, as I was shooting directly into the sun. I used my trusty light meter and set my exposure for her face, thus blowing out the background. Overall a fairly quick and dirty test, but I am more than pleased with the results.

All images were processed in Adobe Lightroom using the following presets. The color images were done using a Kodak Portra 400 preset by Mastin Labs and for the black & white images, I used a Kodak Tri-x 400 preset by VSCO.
